If you have been working for, say, an hour, always make sure that you have a 5-10 minute break for each or that you work. This gives your mind time to refresh for another hour of working. This method buys you more time before stress seeps in and blocks your creativity and keeps you working like a well oiled machine. Lastly, keep reading! Sometimes people recycle the same thoughts and words over and over again until they exhaust the ways to use it. Read as much as you and when you see a word you don’t understand, look it up and start using it.

Writer’s block doesn’t only affect writers. It can affect all of us whenever we do creative work like drawing, writing songs and so on. Just learn to keep your mind running like an efficient F-1 engine and you’ll have no problems reaching the checkered flag.

It’s sad that these ‘good people’ not only work in apathy, but many even add to the fray.

Is X greater than Y? Maybe not always but of course, X and Y are never equal. Who is greater shouldn’t be an issue. If you’re from another country and you see the American Flag, you think of how America seems to be better than everyone else. And if you do that to yourself, then it is not America that is at fault. Same goes for Americans looking at other countries as different. Seeing a Chinese flag and thinking of cheap underpaid laborers instead of a rich cultural heritage is no worse than thinking badly of a friend or neighbor that has been there ever since.

When we see the word “sale” draped in attention flags all over our favorite shopping mall or our well-loved exclusive boutique, our eyes mimic meteor showers. This is especially true if you actually saved up to buy something you so desire, that you feel like your life goal is to own those things. This is because a sale advertises EASY ownership, and ownership is one of man’s emotional needs. Remember how we always wanted “security” and “belongingness”? Well, these things are hooked onto plain ownership. We feel SECURE when something BELONGS to us.

Be on the look for seasonal sales and anniversary sales. This comes extremely handy for specialty stores. There are times when they just needed more closet space for a fresher collection and so they do clearance sales. Sometimes, they also hit a yearly inventory revamping so they also do clearance sales. Clearance sales are the best of them all because of the fact that the store’s goal is just to empty their warehouses. Usually the best ones get sold in the beginning anyway. If you don’t mind wearing what was hot last season, then this works for you.

However, don’t wave your bills out like a racing flag just yet. Remember to always put a limit to your shopping. Remember “Confessions of a Shopaholic”? Shopping ruined the protagonist’s love life, career, friendships and even family relationships. Money is indeed a very important resource and just buy what you need, even if it’s on sale.

Going to a concert is the best way to experience music. Most of us are comfortable sitting at home with our home entertainment systems. Some are satisfied with listening to their favorite bands and artists on their mp3 players. They still achieve the point of listening to music in general much like how a backrub makes us feel better after work. However, going to concert is a whole different experience. It equates to a full body massage which is heaps better than a measly backrub.

When in concerts, you can’t just stay in one place. Open air concerts have booths, camping grounds and food stations which are usually marked by twirler flags. Family reunions are great places to be when they are pulled off impressively. Of course, it is a big event and events that involve bringing a lot of SPECIFIC people together can cause the event manager a lot of undue stress. Sure, technology helps in keeping things on the right track but there’s nothing like knowing the basics of organizing a rocking family reunion.

Plan early. Nothing beats foresight in events management. You should come up with a list of the things you need for the event and conceptualize in rich detail how exactly the event is intended to unfold.
