Idaho is one of the states of United States of America and considered to be situated in one of the best locations of the state because of its mountainous terrain with an area bigger than New England combined. The state joined the Union the States on July 3, 1890 and became the 43rd states of America. In terms of land area, the state is ranked as the 14th largest state in the US. Its largest city in terms of area is Boise, its capital city.
If you visit this state, you will see plenty of Idaho state flags beautifully raised at residential and commercial areas and structures. Just similar to the rest of the state flags, the Idaho state flags are usually raised through flagpoles that are made of aluminum and steel.
The flag is rectangular in shape and has blue background with Idaho state’s seal at the middle. The seal is round shaped with a text that says “Great Seal of the State of Idaho” that must appear in gold letters on a band in gold and red underneath the seal. Officially, a fringe of gold must surround the seals edges but it was not evident in most flags until the flag was remodeled after war.
All flags of the U.S.A. including US territorial flags and the provinces of Canada were subject to a study of flags conducted by the North American Vexillogical Association. Based on the survey on each of the 72 flags of Canada and U.S.A. combined, the state of Idaho ranked 64th as the best designed flag.
