Determine the Features of the German Flag

If you check the German flag, you might think about how the flag was first made and featured. The flag is actually full of history and culture. The banner represents the background of the German people while the red, black and gold colors are always seen with pride by citizens.

In 1848, the flag was first raised by the Frankfurt Parliament, aiming to bring together all the fighting states in Germany. Because of political assumptions, the flag was changed and again rose after the end of the First World War, during the Weimar Republic. Again, the flag went through a major change when the Nazis took over. When World War II ended, the flag again reemerged. When the country was split between East and West Germany, the East featured a coat of arms on the banner. When the two areas became united again, the tri-color band surfaced again.

The Germans might refer to their official flag using various names like federal flag or Bundesflagge or Germany flag or Deutschlandfahne. Looking at the colors of black, red and gold, people will come up with different interpretations. The flag of the government has some differences because of the addition of the federal shield or Bundesschild. It is one type of coat of arms in the country.

At last, the three colors of black, gold and red were featured, which are the same ones you see today. These were the same tones that stood for the Holy Roman Empire. It referred to a golden wheat field and the bloody claw of a black eagle.
