Custom Flag: Tips When Using Colors

Many customers walk into a custom flag or banner shop then request to have an advertisement or poster made using the same colors that their company logo has.

After having worked as a custom flag maker for several years, I discovered that there are different makers that charge according to the number of colors used on the material. These makers may also use a variety printing machines to create the design that the customer is asking for.

Many custom flags made charge customers for four colors even though there are only three used in fact. Particularly, white is not a color. When I screen print the colors onto the flag, different colors will be applied except white. The material of the flag has a white base color so there is no more need to screen print any white tones on it.

I do not personally charge customers for white because I know that there is no extra cost for having it in the design. In fact, there are several flags made with white as the majority color. It is ideal to charge rates depending on the amount of ink or printing items used and not just to make customers pay for little work. I also ensure that the quality of all my custom flags will satisfy my loyal clients.

When visiting a custom flag maker, be sure to check all the colors used and not to be charged for white. If you check the flag itself, there is no ink or print made of white tones so you should not pay extra for it.
