Many national holidays will feature official state flags, the national flags and decorations on a flag bunting. Some of the special days of the year that people celebrate include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Veterans Day and Election Day, among others. The colorful strips and various colors and curves displayed will make a flag bunting look more attractive and inviting. People should also use the right tools to shape and sew the materials together. When preparing a funeral bunting flag, the approach is the same but there are some guidelines that you should follow to make the right setup.
First of all, determine the proper width that the funeral bunting flag should have. The width will determine the base of the setup itself. For example, if you have a width of 30 inches, you should also have a base measuring 30 inches. The width of the panel should be one-half of the base number only, so it should 15 inches. The length of the panel should also be the same.
The strips of fabric can conveniently be split according to the width of the panel. For example, if the panel is about 15 inches wide, there should be five stripes, each measuring 3 inches. These will total 15 inches. You also have to add one inch of allowance for the seam to every strip. You can cut five strips, each measuring 4 inches in width. The color of the strips will create the complete design.
All the strips must be laid out in an attractive way and these will show how you can sew everything. Sew every strip to the adjoining strips that will provide you with at least a half-inch seaming. All the sides must be hemmed and the edge should be folded beneath the one-fourth inch strip. Sew a seam along the fold which will place the edges together.
Position the panel on an ironing board and press all the seams so that these are all flat. You can also turn over the panel to keep the right side up. Look for the right number to divide the panel instrument. These should be in equal sections. The panel may now be 45 inches long with each section measuring 5 inches. To get the best output, try 4 and 7 inches. The panels should also be designed to make sharp folds for the funeral bunting flags. One side of the flag should be folded at 5 inches. Use the iron to make a sharp and stable crease. Fold the fabric to the side of the panel. Continue the process until the fold is completely done and the panel length is fully creased.
The folded fans can be linked and all the layers should be placed into the right positions. These will provide enough room and space for the needle to go through. The threads should also be placed properly to finish the funeral bunting flag. Review the whole design then make the necessary changes in the end. You may add your own customizations later on.
