Every February 24, the people of Mexico commemorate its official flag day. It is considered a national event wherein people share stories of their past and show their love for country. The Mexican flag features a picture that is almost sacred. People have to actually secure a permit first before they can broadcast the flag.
The flag songs are also sung on the special day. General Lazaro Cardenas, the Mexican President made the songs many years ago. Some of the songs include The Salute to the Flag and The Oath to the Flag. The national banner features a couple of layouts that are incorporated in state and federal governments. The coat of arms differs between the two kinds.
Mexicans, similar to many other races, think of their flag as one of the most special symbols of their beloved country. The flag is almost as significant as the land itself. Holding and raising the flag requires proper care and vigilance. There are guidelines to be followed to ensure that the banner is always held in the most respectable manner. When raising different flags, the National Flag of Mexico is raised at the highest point, followed by the State Flag of Mexico, the Military Flag of Mexico and other flags of the country.
The flag should never be dragged or displayed tattered and ruined. If there is damage to the flag, it should be repaired or replaced quickly. The flag should also be displayed in the proper method as provided for in the guidelines. It should be destroyed respectably.
