The Marketing Appeal of the American Flag

For several years, the American flag has shown to be useful in marketing as well as sharing the virtue of patriotism. Title 4, Section 8-d, 8-g and 8-i of the United States Code rules and regulations prevent people from putting any kind of image or form of vandalism on the flag. The rules also indicate that the flag should not be used for advertising endeavors. There are several meanings to the word “desecration” when it comes to treating the US flag.

About Implied Pledge

All flags tell a story about the background and future of a country. Before tearing, burning or displaying the flag, it’s important to know about its history and creation first as well as understand what it truly signifies.

Some people think lowly of the pledge and do not consider it as a very important aspect. There are many misrepresentations of the pledge of allegiance. Some people may not be aware that they are already pledging the following:

I pledge allegiance to the almighty dollar.

As well as to the purchasing power represented by it.

There is insatiable greed for the color green,

And many people continue to grow hungry for more money.

May the flag always represent these virtues.

Since September 11, the blue, red and white American flag has been featured on vehicles and several structures throughout the country. It is important to present the flag often so that people will truly recognize the more important virtues signified by it like truth, bravery and independence which others have died for.
