Motorcycle Flags and the Special Role of the Color Guard

A special group of motorcycle riders called the MCGA or Motorcycle Color Guard of America can be arranged to present different motorcycle flags that pay tribute to the soldiers and officers who sacrifice their lives for the liberty of the country.

The Moving Wall in special events showcases motorcycles that display patriotic flags with music playing in the background. Every division of the Armed Forces of the United States will be represented by a certain tune and flag and then ending with the display of the United States flag with the Star Spangle Banner playing in the background. The motorcycles will continue showcasing the flags until the whole activity is done.

The motorcycles should ideally be at the very front of the parade so that the riders can maintain balance and set the proper speed for others to follow.

There are 12 riders in the color guard which generally come from Phoenix, Arizona. It is recommended that the chosen motorcyclists for the parade have adequate experience because they will be tasked to move very slowly and in organized fashion. The group was created in 2007 to display the different flags that show respect to all the men and women who serve in the Armed Forces of America.

Motorcyclists prefer Honda Gold Wings when riding in parades and events to stay composed and place the focus on the motorcycle flags. Several activities in Arizona feature the MCGA. The bike group is also willing to go abroad and showcase the flags and their riding skills.
