Message Flags Through the Years

The message flags which used to be very rampant changed into the modern flags that are available today, standing for different states and groups all over the world. Banners are still displayed to show directions and for various purposes. Before the 18th century, national flags were simply used for military and naval troops. People did not traditionally display these in their houses. Now, you will easily find customized flags outside stores and houses with the logos and messages in plain view.

One of the oldest national flags that are still shown currently is the Dannebrog of Denmark. The flag was first flown during the 13th century and has been widely shown since.

Nepal is another country that has an evolved flag. Its flag is unique from others because it does not feature the regular rectangle. The Nepalese banner features a couple of triangles placed on top of each other. When people find unique features on the flag, they can easily remember these. Many advertising flags also feature special designs and colors to easily attract clients regardless of the location. There are a number of famous designs for promotional flags. There are other shapes and designs to know about such as feather flags and teardrop flags.

The state flag of Brazil is the biggest known flag in the world. It has been featured since the 1960s and has not changed since. Many advertising flags feature very large sizes while others can have smaller miniature versions. Many of the bigger flags were made so that these can quickly be recognized by people from far away areas.
