Maintain the Quality When Sending Custom Flag Designs

A lot of individuals who forward pictures and images to have their custom flags printed might find it hard to send the proper file. Many times, they forward the wrong images. Knowing the right files to provide will give better and good quality results. Details are not compromised this way.

When Sending Bitmap Images

Bitmap images are also called raster images and are composed of several pixels within a grid. Pixels are described as small dots, each with a distinct color. The bitmap images are resolution reliant. The resolution is described as the number of small dots or pixels contained in an image or dots per inch or DPI.

We can print the design using bitmap images since the dpi is 300+ and the images are scalable. The resolution should be high enough so that the image maintains its good quality. If the image’s size is adjusted the pixels will also start to become more visible and edges are not as smooth as before. The custom flag might show the jagged edges and other imperfections after printing.

About commonly used bitmap formats

BMP, JPEG, PSD (Adobe Photoshop), JPG, GIF, TFF and PNG

Commonly used bitmap programs

Microsoft Paint, Corel Photo-Paint, Adobe Photoshop, U lead Photo Impact and Jasc Paint Shop Pro

Final tips:

Always keep in mind to maintain the 300+ dpi and keep the image to scale when sending in any of the formats referred. When forwarding vector images, these are best done on a screen printer. The vector-based images allow the image to be adjusted accordingly.
