Locating Putting Green Flags in Golf

If you are just starting to learn golf, you have to know more about the key features of the golf course. The main elements of the usual golf course will involve the fairway, the tee box, the rough, the green, the side sand bunkers and other hazard spots. You also have to be familiar with putting green flags on the putting green and the final flag which is placed right on the cup where the ball is supposed to fall. This is your objective in every hole or course.

We will be discussing the putting green here.

The putting green is characterized by low cut grass around the cup or hole. The average golf course with 18 holes will also involve 18 putting greens where the player will have to shoot the golf ball into the cup before he qualifies to transfer to the next hole. Keep an eye out for putting green flags when locating the putting green or final hole.

The slope and speed will change depending on the layout of the golf course. There are challenging courses that will include a lot of transformations in the slope and require you to putt stronger or faster. There are also easy courses for straight putting.

The slope refers to the degree that the golf ball will move at. This can be hard for starting golfers. The golf ball can initially move to the left and then roll back to the right when hit by the golf club. The ball is said to break “left to right” or vice-versa when this occurs.
