How to Pick the Best Commercial Flagpole

The standard commercial flagpoles will stand about 30 to 60 feet from the ground and are made of steel or aluminum tubing.

Some organizations or people like to set up two or more flagpoles for a more attractive display. Make sure you maintain enough distance between the flagpoles so that the flags can wave beautiful and keep the poles from hitting each other just in case one falls.

You will come across two kinds of halyard systems or rope-and-pulley systems. These are important for bringing the flag up and down. The external halyard systems are found on the exterior of the pole. This kind will have the flag attached to a rope. The rope is put through a wheel or truck on top of the pole. The rope is then put around a cleat at the base to keep the flag in place and avoid it from going up and down the flagpole. The drawback is that it is quite easy to cut the rope.

An internal halyard system is preferred for added security. The rope is found within the pole and there is a unique winch that goes through a hinged door space near the bottom of the pole. A revolving truck is highly recommended to keep the flag stable during strong winds.

Steel flagpoles are highly recommended because these are durable and are easy to maintain. Get more insight from experts on how to set up an internal or external rope-and-pulley system. Get the proper materials and you will have a flag worthy of displaying.
