Golf Tips: Keeping Focus With Putting

The technique of putting is unique from the long drive because it requires a different grip and swing. You have to hold or grip the putter or club for putting in the palms to ensure that hand movement is minimal. In the long drive, the grip will let you adjust the wrist more. The interlocking grip involves the interlocking of the index finger of one hand with the small finger of the other. Try the two grip types to determine the difference. You may also use a long stick or another item that has the same size and length as a golf club and watch your form in front of a mirror. Try making practice swings with a broomstick. You can also get lessons from an actual golf instructor.

The swing involves a milder action compared to the long drive. It is also ital to prepare the swing using your grip. Posture is equally important. You have to stay relaxed to properly swing the ball towards the cup. Always consider the grip and posture for successful shots.

Once the ball touches the putting green, strategize the next stroke but avoid wasting too much time. Observe the golf flags. Take a deep breath then imagine a line connecting the ball to the hole. As you breathe out, hit the ball then move it towards the proper direction at the right speed. You have to stay close to the ball and use the putting green flag as a marker. Your eyes should be above the ball but also watching the flag at the same time.
