Getting to Know the Suriname Flag

There are so many types of flagpoles such as residential flagpoles. These are very effective in showing off banners and flags. The Suriname flag is a national banner that displays very well on top of flagpoles, particularly in excellent weather. Since 1975, Suriname has been recognized as a free nation.

The coat of arms of Suriname stems back in the 1600s and features a sailing ship that represents trade and commerce. A palm tree represents agriculture. The diamond figure in the middle of the shield represents mining. The supporters of the shield also represent the Amerindian people of Suriname. There are is a motto shown in Latin that represents piety, justice and loyalty.

Suriname is a beautiful country found in South America. It is also referred to as the Republic of Suriname. For over 35 years, its people have been enjoying independence. There are only half a million people in the nation, with the majority living on the northern region. Paramaribo, the country’s capital is also found at the north end of the country. French Guyana is located on the right portion while Guyana is found on the left portion of the country. Just below Suriname is Brazil, while Atlantic Ocean is above it on the map.

Similar to many world flags and banners, traditional presentations were featured atop residential and business flag poles. There are also various colors used on the flag that have special meanings. The green represents the forest and hope. These have been used for a number of decades until the recent one was created.
