Boulevard banners, as the name suggests are banners which are best placed along a boulevard or by the roadway. Usually, these banners are used to advertise events, products, or public announcements. Displaying boulevard banners entail proper planning, and should be properly placed for maximum effect.
When using the rope to support the banner, it should be tied to both ends of the banner, with equal lengths at each side. This is to ensure a balanced support all across the banner so as not to put too much pressure on the material when the wind blows against. The ends of the banner should also be tied securely by these ropes on a secure surface. It is very important to have the boulevard banner tied down properly as this may become a road hazard for motorists and pedestrians should these banners be recklessly flying all around.
When displaying these banners in commercial places, the same principles apply in displaying them. Using washers and screws, each of these should be securely fastened through grommets, making this kind of placement or installation more secure and permanent. However, this method would require boring holes on the intended surface, so it may be good to consider this first, especially if the walling or paintjob may be permanently damaged.
Street pole banners or boulevard banners may also be mounted along one side. Vertical banners usually are held in place with a post as its surface, with the rope fastened at each eyelet on the two corners of the flag. Similar to an ordinary flag, boulevard banners should be properly mounted so as not to be obstacles for passersby.
