American Flag Bunting: How To Do It

Flag bunting can be applied in different places such as an armory or other establishments, featuring American flags with the tones blue, red and white.

The buntings constantly hold a special meaning and can be applied for many special events. These are quite common during sports activities, race competitions and school events. The buntings can even be customized according to the preferred color of the individual or during birthday parties. Anniversaries and other annual occasions will usually feature the number of years on the materials.

Bunting preparation is generally simple and easy. There are also a number of ways to make the process more interesting and fun.

Start by measuring the length between the points at the spot where the flag will be raised. It should properly be determined and then cut into a couple of strings.

Next, find the right dimensions for each flag that will be included in the bunting. An outdoor flag with bunting decoration will usually measure about 8 inches in width and 10 inches in length. Also consider the flag surrounding. Make sure that dimensions of the flag are accurate.

Determine the best shape to use since flags will come in an array of forms and sizes.

The paper patterns should be properly cut and shaped. The patterns must match accordingly.

The material used for the American flag bunting must fold in the middle with a couple of edges on the fold. These can be marked around the patterns and go through the layers to create the ideal shape for a miniature American flag.
