If you are a soccer sport enthusiast who watched many games whether live or in television you may notice that one of the primary components of a field are the soccer corner flags. These flags are put up at the four corners of the soccer field to show boundaries. Whether the games are for amateurs or for professionals, corner flags are standard tools. When buying a corner flag, usually it must be purchased in a set of four flags.
Corner flags or field markers are simply made of a flag and a pole. And often, these come in attractive and bright colors for better visibility because soccer fields are generally wide. The usual colors seen are yellow, green, black, white and red. The common designs are stripes and checkered which shows combination of the usual colors. The poles usually are just between half to one and a half inches in diameter that are made of either acetate of PVC or basically plastic. More modern poles are foldable and easy to carry. Although the flag design and colors can vary but the height of the pole must be the same. The height must be give feet and this is the standard measurement.
As for the corner flags that are placed directly on the ground there are several of stakes. It depends on the kind of surface it will be used to. There is the screw-type which is the most common, the spring loaded type that has a tiny spring the base which makes the pole more stable and sturdy.
