Each nation represented in the collection of world flags is equally as proud as others, and also merits the same amount of respect. However, the popularity and recognition cannot be done with the same kind of equality especially those without much of an influence over other nations. Nevertheless, it doesn’t mean that any less popular nation should be given less reverence in this regard. As for the world superpowers, it would be nice to know the colors that define these global influences.
The United States, with the much renowned stars and stripes, or the flag known as the star spangled banner are two of the most recognized words and entities in the entire planet. Relatively young as a nation,it quickly rose to power and has contributed greatly to the present day world order we have. The stars symbolize each of the 50 states, while the stars and stripes depict bravery and purity.Japan’s red circle on white cloth design depicts the sun as it rises on the clear horizon. Previously with sun’s rays, the present the Japan is a more streamlined cut design.
The British Union Jack with the red, white, and blue motif in crosses and X’s have been known to be a superpower of the New World. Thanks to its riches, wealth, resources, and technological advancement during the time of the great sea explorers, the British Union Jack even had as hot as being portrayed in the flag of the United States, being hoisted by General George Washington during the end of the American Revolution.
World flags with similar designs may be attributed to the changing shifts of world powers throughout history. Many former British protectorates and colonies which have become sovereign nations still have some similar bases for symbols. A classic example is the presence of the Union Jack design on the nations which were former colonies.
