The Boat Flag Secret

Boat flags are common items that serve as representations of sea vessels. These flags have assorted designs. But it depends what the flags mean to the boat owners or people that use the boats. Examples of the most seen flags today are those of the coast guard and the navy. The distinctive designs are noticeable and you can tell which one is which. Same goes with the rest of the flags of that are designed uniquely to how each boat must be represented. Changes were added through time to make these more unique.

The mast of a ship is noticeable from a long distance. Most masts have flags freely flutter along with the wind. Many flags follow color codes for sea vessels for the ship’s status to be known. A flag can classify whether or not a fishing boat has a license to fish and the allowable schedule to do so.   And through the flag’s design, some experienced sailors can identify the maker of a ship. When ships sail in fleet, their flags may look similar with only slight differences in design details in order that each ship can be identified from each other. Although boat flags are important aspect of a sailing ship but if during wartime this must be put down. The navy crews follow this rule sternly.
